Special Honor For John
At the 2007 Paulding County Fair Show, Judge Terry Fender made a surprise proclamation to all
present while he was judging the Open Class Jersey Woolies. He proclaimed John as the un-official
Jersey Wooly Herdsman of the Year for Ohio. John was awarded a free ball-point pen as his prize
which was presented to him by two attractive young ladies. The following week, John received a
notarized certificate proclaiming him as such. John will cherish the certificate and pen always.
All kidding aside, it is nice that there can be fun at the shows along side the serious
judging.
